Course Audience
This course is for high-volume e-commerce retouchers who want to learn how to use Hue, Creative Force’s Photoshop plug-in, to edit digital assets in a more efficient and data-driven way.
Description
Hue is our application for retouchers and is one of the pillars that form the foundation of Creative Force and our concept of ‘Flow Production.’ It’s designed to remove all the worst aspects of high-volume e-commerce post-production.
As a retoucher, you are probably all too familiar with some of the following:
- Uncertainty about what images need to be edited
- Uncertainty about what images have already been edited (putting you at risk of editing them again)
- Lack of clarity around the basic specifications of the images you are working on
- Being tasked with manually naming images
- Managing images via confusing or disorganized file structures in a local FTP or cloud-based service
- Unclear instructions from Art Directors
- Lack of clarity on what needs to be changed about an image
- Being provided style guides that are outdated
As creatives ourselves, we know life in post-production can be when we are forced to work with tools and processes that are confusing, inefficient, and painstaking.
Thankfully, for post-production teams around the world, Hue has removed the worst parts of the post-production process, allowing you as a retoucher to focus solely on the creative work that needs to be done.
As part of this course, you’ll learn how to:
- Download and install Hue on your machine and sign in to your Creative Force account
- Configure your workspace including your Working Folder and Watched folder
- Connect any of your required external applications
- Navigate the Hue Kanban board and select tasks to work on
- Navigate the Hue panel
- View notes provided by the photographer or the style guide
- View any available reference images
- View presets and create variants
- Utilize the variant fanout functionality
- Us the auto QA feature to ensure you are uploading images with the correct specifications
- Handle rejections and view feedback from whoever is approving your post-production images
At the end of it all, you’ll receive a shiny new Creative Force for Retouchers certificate you can share on LinkedIn to let the world know you are a certified Creative Force Retoucher and master of ‘Flow Production.”
