What is VPI?
VPI stands for Vendor Provided Imagery. This is a tool we developed at Creative Force to allow external product photography vendors to provide studios with imagery and then upload that imagery to the studio's Creative Force account.
Course Audience
This course is for members of the photography team who are providing images to a photo studio that is using Creative Force via VPI.
Description
Some of our customers came to us with an interesting use case. They said that, in some of their creative production workflows, they used an external photography team to capture imagery. That imagery was then brought into the studio and then sent to either an internal or external post-production team and then on through the creative process to asset delivery.
And so our customers asked us: how could they get the benefits of Creative Force when working with these external photography teams who were capturing images outside of Creative Force and enable those external teams to upload their photography to the studio’s Creative Force account?
For this, we developed our Vendor Provided Imagery (VPI) tool.
This course is designed to get those external photography teams up and running using VPI as quickly as possible. As part of the course, members of those external teams will learn how to:
- Access the vendor portal
- Navigate the request box
- Understand the different image request levels
- Bulk upload images
- Auto-map images to automatically handle file naming
- Manual map images
- Upload images
- Submit images by product type
At the end of it all, you’ll receive a shiny new VPI for Vendors certificate you can share on LinkedIn to let the world know you are certified in using Creative Force’s VPI functionality as a vendor.
